This policy is effective w.e.f 14 January 2025.

Important: Once your data is deleted as per your request, it cannot be recovered. Please ensure you have backed up any important information before requesting deletion.

3. How to Request Data Deletion

  • Sending a verification code to your registered email or phone

4. Data Deletion Process and Timeline

4.1. Processing Timeline

  • Acknowledgment: Within 48 hours of receiving your request
  • Identity Verification: 2-3 business days
  • Data Deletion: 7-14 business days after verification
  • Confirmation: Within 24 hours after deletion completion

4.2. What Happens During Deletion

  1. Account Deactivation: Your account is immediately deactivated
  2. Data Identification: We identify all data associated with your account
  3. Legal Review: We review which data can be legally deleted
  4. Secure Deletion: Eligible data is securely deleted from our systems
  5. Third-party Notification: We notify relevant third parties to delete shared data
  6. Confirmation: We send you confirmation of completed deletion

4.3. Account Reactivation

Once your data is deleted, your account cannot be reactivated. If you wish to use HouseCliq services again, you will need to create a new account.

5. Data Retention After Deletion Request

Even after a deletion request, we may retain certain data as required by law:

  • Financial Records: 7 years for tax and audit purposes
  • Legal Disputes: Until resolution + statute of limitations

Data in backup systems may take additional time to be completely removed:

  • Archived backups: Up to 90 days
  • Disaster recovery systems: Up to 180 days
